In October this year, Hilary and Michelle will walk 60 kilometers in The Weekend to End Women’s Cancers™ benefiting the Queensland Institute of Medical Research (QIMR) and Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital (RBWH).

Hilary, Michelle, and their River Rats team, will each raise at least $2,000 to support breast and gynecologic cancers research, treatment, and services.

The River Rats have already raised $11,380. Our target is $25,000.

This cause is worthy and relevant:

Queensland has one of the highest growth rates of cancer in the world.

In Australia, 1 in 3 females will be diagnosed with cancer before the age of 85

In Queensland, that rate is just 1 in 2.

Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Queensland women, and it is the second

leading cause of cancer death.

The incidence of breast cancer in Queensland is the 4th highest in the world.

Most of us know someone who has been diagnosed.

We have seen the impact, not only on the victims but also, on the families around them.

Please support this great cause!

Oliver & Langford is delighted to announce that we have expanded, by bringing Michelle Smidt into our business.

Some of you will have already met her, and will already know she brings new perspectives, energy and enthusiasm to both Oliver & Langford and our clients. Her presence expands the quality and quantity of Oliver & Langford’s reach.

Download CV PDF…

As a recent Masters graduate, Michelle is abreast of developing trends and practices in people management. Her outstanding performance at QUT was acknowledged when they hired her to tutor in the subject ‘Performance & Reward’.

Personally, as a member of ‘Generation Y’, she connects with the newer ‘breed’ of organizational managers and staff, ensuring our services are tailored and targeted to our younger clients. She is also aware of the importance and application of emerging social networking technologies.

Born in Denmark, and completing her education in the USA and Australia, Michelle networks nationally and internationally, and ensures a world-wide perspective and awareness in Oliver & Langford’s services.
